Evenflo Voluntarily Recalls Nearly 75,000 Rear-Facing Car Seats

EVENFLO VOLUNTARILY RECALLS NEARLY 75,000 REAR-FACING CAR SEATSIn a move to prioritize child safety, Evenflo has announced a voluntary recall of nearly 75,000 rear-facing car seats. The recall affects specific models manufactured between January 2022 and June 2024, sold in the United States and Canada.

Recall Details
The recall covers 74,710 All4One 4-in-1 convertible car seats, which were formally reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on December 24, 2025. The issue was discovered through internal testing, which revealed that the seat may shift from one recline position to another during a crash when used rear-facing.

Safety Concerns
According to NHTSA's documentation, if the seat changes recline position during a collision, a person sitting next to the child restraint could be at risk of injury if their fingers are placed inside the opening above the recline indicator. However, Evenflo assures that the shifting of the seat does not impact the effectiveness of the restraint itself.

Precautions and Replacement
Evenflo advises parents to continue using the car seat while waiting for a replacement unit. As a temporary precaution against the risk of pinching fingers, the company suggests folding a small towel and placing it inside the recline mechanism to fill in the open space. Owner notification letters will begin mailing on January 26, 2026, with families who have registered their products receiving information on obtaining a free replacement unit.

Model Numbers Affected
The recall applies only to specific All4One 4-in-1 seats. Model numbers can be found on the label located on the back or bottom of the car seat. U.S. models included in the recall are: 39312234 – All4One DLX Latitude, 39312240 – All4One DLX Reefs, and several others.

The voluntary recall by Evenflo is a testament to the company's commitment to child safety. Parents who have purchased these car seats should take immediate action to ensure their child's protection. By following the precautions outlined by Evenflo, families can continue to use their car seats while waiting for a replacement unit.
